Complex madness in T Nagar
Roti, Kapda aur Makan – No one fails if one invests in the business of Food, Textiles and Real Estate. But the big ones, the new ones in textiles, jewellery and pin-to-car business people are digging their own grave. They build huge (brahamandamai) complexes out of mad competition. They have not visualized – where people will park or move about. Many of the friends and relatives are avoiding T.Nagar, Panagal Park area because of lack of space for parking and other missing basic facilities when I shop like toilet, drinking water, fresh air and a place to sit.
Sure all the big ones and new ones have lost several customers permanently and will continue to lose. Unless they unite and address these issues and plan for parking space. Even a 5-year-old kid will immediately feel that all norms for building these shopping arrogance is violatory. And in their rush and cleverness to violate, they have lost many customers and they will be shocked of the reality in business loss in the near future. As the complexes cannot be shifted now, some novel ideas from abroad for parking might solve the problem. Or the big Panagal Park can be accommodated for parking. The environmentalists will object to this. So what? I have a suggestion – The shoppers can give huge discount to people who come by walk for shopping - say 1% discount for every 1 km. And we should carry with us – oxygen, water, homemade cookies and a portable TV.

Of course it will not only be the environmentalists who will object this , but a lot of common people including me . It is true that there is absolutely no proper place for parking . But we should come up with other options rather than converting the park into a parking lot . In t nagar panagal park is considered to be the only place where you can go walking . Step out of the house , you see nothing but pollution and crowd . The last place which is peaceful is the park !! We do not want to lose that as well . Wonder wat you guys feel ??

Hey sapna
I dont see any reason why panagal park can not be converted in to a parking lot . We should realise that , T nagar is very very crowded and polluted and converting the park in to a parking lot will definetely reduce the crowd …. Just imagine how convinient it will be , if the roads are less crowded (as all the vehicles are parked inside the park rather than parking on the road which most of us do ).This would surely increase the number of people visiting T nagar .
