‘Unemployment allowance’ will be given to unemployed, educated youth till they get a job at the rate of Rs.150 per month for those who have passed tenth standard, Rs.200 per month for those who have completed twelfth standard and Rs.300 for graduates.

As expected the DMK has also promised a ’separate reservation’ for Muslims and Christians in the state and has not forgotten to mention its pet theme of revival of the Legislative Council in the state

It has also assured to set up information technology parks through out the State including Coimbatore, Trichy and Salem and provide ‘computer training’, free of cost, to the youth of all the villages by employing computer instructors.
