The greatest formula one dual ever

A must to see! One of the most impressing duel in the formula one history.

Now I understand why Formula 1 organizers keep saying “Formula 1 is loosing its charm“. I don’t remember seeing a battle like this in the last five years. Engine speeds have improved, cars have become faster, drivers look more confident; but still a battle even close to being as good as this one does not exists in today’s races.

At least we got videos like this that bring back the moments back from history and let us enjoy those amazing duels.

Formula One, abbreviated to F1, and also known as Grand Prix racing, is the highest class of single-seat open-wheel formula auto racing. The “formula” in the name is a set of rules which all participants and cars must meet. The F1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix, held in most cases on purpose-built circuits, in a few cases on closed city streets.

No points for guessing who these drivers were! :)

Unknown Chennai Rock Band - Music Video shot completely in Chennai

Found this video on the net, myspace to be more precise. Music video is shot around outskirts of chennai. Places like mutukadu lake, East Coast Road(ECR) and Chennai’s own trademark - Mount Road.

I have no clue who the artists are, seems like a low-key rock band based out of chennai. Music is good to hear and the video is decent. I can’t find anything radically bad about it.

    Enjoy!

LokParitran party member caught accepting bribe!

Come on guys! Do you really think this title can be TRUE?

Let’s revise the title again, “One more reason why we SHOULD vote
Ah, this sounds better.

LokParitran
Pic Source:TheHindu

For those who are wondering what LokParitrana means

Paritrana meaning “To end the cause of distress” in Sanskrit, is a political party in India.

The party was formed in February 2006 by a group of six graduates from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology). The party plans to contest in the next assembly elections and then stand for parliament.

Before someone starts a flame war here, let me clarify on the title. It is not meant to be offensive at all.

Why did I give such a sarcastic title?

Seriously, Money should not be a problem for these guys; the strong alumni lobby that they have back in the US have pockets deep enough to sponsor any political campaign expense. But how effectively they create belief and live up to the expectations is something only time can answer. After all, it would be heartbreaking to see an IITian getting caught in a bribe scandal! believe me that’s the last thing I want to see in the morning headlines.

Sounds like a old story? Hey, does this not sound strangely familiar to Rang de Basanti or Yuva ?
They look like they have jumped directly out of the characters of the movie.

But you know it’s a little difficult to do things differently in real life. It takes some strong social commitment to give up $100K pay packages and the cool life in California. These guys are the elite bunch of smart young Indian citizens.

Elections coming up in Tamilnadu this summer. The Dravida kazhagams are heating up the competition as usual. People are still struck with no useful choices to make from a corrupt and power-hungry lot.

Let’s face it people. Are we not tired of this white dhoti-white shirt politicians, so called veterans.

Yes, these people may end up winning with their campaign promises by making people believe they can in fact implement the impossible of those campaign promises. hah! Do these people really try to get on the route to change the lives of people? No.

Superstar rajinikanth once said in one of his movies, [translated]

“Don’t jump in to holy politics and use it as a means of making money; there are thousand other ways to make money”

Man were those words worth a million or what! Of course our super state himself could have made a big difference; but that’s a different topic altogether.

Now, for those of who are frustrated with the system of democracy, for those of you who think things around us can never change, for those of who have lost hopes about the future of Tamilnadu with firms grasp from the Dravidian parties….

Cheer up! We now have a CHOICE! We have a lokparitran!
Finally we get to choose from good and bad for a change? (Do I have to tell you who’s good here)

Move away politicians; we don’t need you anymore.
We got people with conscience on our side now, we got LokParitran on our side now.

Party Ideology:

The ideology of “Paritrana” is based on understanding the problem at the highest levels of abstraction and taking action which is consonant with the deriving principles

I am not a part of the campaigning team for lokparitran, but certainly would love to be one! :)

But for my part, blogging about it gives me a sense of satisfaction that I have contributed in a very small way to spreading the word of an effort that is worthy. Anyone who is in living in Tamilnadu for long enough will know how strong roots these local Dravidian parties have in this state. Even BJP and Congress fail miserably every time to win here.

I hope LokParitran do understand the nuances of politics and tackle them with ease. Ability to solve complex problems and the expertise in atomic physics won’t help much in politics.
