Kareena’s ignorance of Desdemona

Kareena Kapoor in her interview to Indian Express today 29th July, Saturday says “Desdemona is Shakespeare’s best written female character and the adopted version Dolly Mishra is as scintillating” What a total ignorance of Kareena on Shakespeare and his other more powerful female characters like Lady Macbeth (Vanity Thy name is Woman) or Cordelia in King Lear or Cleopatra.

Though Othello is a tragedy, there are other great ones by Shake spear like Hamlet and King Lear. I wish some Hindi producer produces King Lear. (Bollywood runs out of ideas always).

Kareena’s ignorance is insulting. She may be good in acting as Dolly (Desdemona). But she should also know when she gives a Press Interview, that there are peoploe who know Shakespear and his works, Lady characters.

Let me see the film and then comment also on her acting!!

kareena is a good actress , i love her seeing her as a funky girl ,, but talented mind you,,more than acting she gave preference to her body skills like some one said in her othello,,film,, hahah me the same above mohan,,

I said Kareena is good in acting, showing her body skills, delivers the dialoues. But still not intelligent as Shabana Azmi, Nadita Das or the dead actress - I donot remember her name-she acted so good in ‘Arth; with Shaaba Azmi and Kubushan Karbonda, Ah! Sumita Patil.

SO inteliigence is different. Glamour is differenet. Acting is differrent. And talking to the Press about Shakespears Lady charcates ignorantly is different. Becaus I like Kareena, I said this.
