From the Gavaskar days only the North has dominated the cricket in selection of players. They are given more opportunties even if they fail many times.
I am not against any player, North Indians or selctors, but practically one could witness this happening many times.
And this is continuing. Sure Balaji and Shreeshant are better bowlers. Balaji can bat well also. And why are they not given chances? It’s because it has always been Team North India!
Mercy petition, was given by Afzal’s family, to be hanged on Diwali.
The family’s petition is strange when Afzal Guru himself is silent.
Afzal is proven terrorist, declared by all courts including the highest, The Supreme Court. He attacked the Parliament of India and killed many innocent, police and security personnel.
And our President kept the petition and remained silent. Diwali passed away. Now Afzal has filed a review petition. What is happening?
Appeasement? Typical Indian Mercy shown to humanity - even terrorists?
What more shame can this country face?
Many freedom fighters (countless) like Bhagat Singh, Kattabomman were hanged by the British who ruled us for 300 years.
And the Moguls who ruled some portions of our country were ruthless. They did not even announce and killed many and converted many at the point of Sword.
And now the terrorists rule our country! And the MNC’s economically.
OK, agreed we need not repeat history like others who do understand peace and harmony.
I had a high regard for the Space scientist Abdul Kalam. But as a President he is a coward and a puppet at the hands of our UPA government.
Mercy is a different issue – already we are a peace-loving nation and if a person disturbs, kills innocent people – what is the solution?
Even a common man understands that showing mercy to Afzal Guru (What Guru? of terrorists?) will breed more of them.
I am not against Islam, the peace loving religion theoretically.
But in practice there is a difference. And what more they are going to do is unknown.
The intelligence report gives warning in advance. But none of them are listened to.
And even after terrible things happen and are proven beyond doubt, they are allowed to escape!
Many innocents are killed everyday in India. Like the Jews killed by Hitler. Yet Hitler was defeated because of the intolerance and ruthless killings.
Afzal is 100 times more dreadful than Hitler who was anti-semantic. What has Afzal to do with India which is a peace-loving and people are secular by nature - sure not due to Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and the worst one in the family Sonia Pope (I will not mention Gandhi)
Hail Hitler or Allaho Abdul Kalam? Or Hail Sonia The Louix 20?
All this can happen only in India!!
It was boring. As usual no electricity. So no computer and TV to look upon.
Completed reading the Digest and Daily.
Suddenly I took a Tamil weekly at random from a bunch that my wife reads. Every 2nd page contains an ad about what women adore – Kitchen Masalas, Jewelers, Saris, Home Appliances, Astrology, Cine interviews, hyped women sufferings and more boring short stories.
About 60 to 70% of the content are Ads in colour.
I felt like seeing a TV serial. Just in print media.
Only one page somewhere in the center had a black and white drawing (that too of a woman). It had a nice poem – “Waiting is worth in Life.”
What is word for Female Chauvinism? And channels are taking advantage of it.
Why don’t they show quality serials like in the West?
And many super hit films were announced weeks in advance in all channels. When I sat in front of TV to watch, it was 2 minutes of movie and 20 minutes of Ad. I was disgusted so much; I decided to quit watching the movie. I was free for 3 hours and sure all the family members agreed that I watch the England vs. Australia ICC match on Diwali day.
And it was a really a Happy Diwali without the Tamil TV channels

China is offered many projects in India. It’s Ok – Globalization.
But the Chinese Government insists it will bring their labour force (not skilled which is acceptable). This is the common practice adopted by China for all countries.
But both India and China have population and unemployment problem for labourers.
So the UPA party at center supported by CPM should have insisted on giving employment to Indians here.
Instead they have relaxed the visa rules to Chinese.
The CPM, which always supports labour, has miserably failed here.
Does CPM mean Communist Party of India (Marxist) or Chinese Party for Money? Cheap Political Mockery? Of India.
CPM is opportunistic and being loyal to China.
Ours is not a democracy. It’s total Bollywood Masalas.
