BBC Head Indian Woman Doctor

There are many women achievers in Sports, Management, Media, Social and Community services,

The list is endless. Sure Poet Bharathi’s one of the dreams have come true.

Dr.Chitra becomes the first woman to head the BBC, in acting capacity following resignation of Michael Grade.

The BBC Trust, a newly formed one will take over from the current board from January. It is all internal management confusion and I will not and need not discuss about it.

My mind is on the great women achiever from Madurai. She is a hematologist by profession. Though born in Madurai, Tamilnadu, and South India she has been living in Britain since 1972.

She has served as Deputy Director of Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service.
She has been a consultant, clinical hematologist in Belfast City Hospital.
She shifted her career o Media in 1996, when she joined BBC Council for Northern Ireland till 2003.

In 2004, Dr. Chitra Barucha was appointed to the Advertising Standards Authority (Broadcast) Council.
The above was latest news.

Recent and some Old news (some of them very Old)
1 Indira Nooyi, a Chennai born woman has become the CEO of Pepsi!.

2. Lathika Charan is the current DGP of Chennai

3. Kiran Bedi, the famous Police personality, about whom even a film was taken and actress Vaijayanthi acted, as IPS .It was a box office hit.

4. Mother Teresa – No explanation needed. A separate article is needed. I invite Guest authors to write on her. It is a pity that Vatican recognized her only after her death, that too not in proper perspective for the work she had done.

5. Mother of Aurobindo Ashram (not alive today, but the Love and Fragrance still gives me peace of mind)

6. Matha Amritanandamayi, who has drawn millions of crowds all over the world by her motherly affection and solutions, Just by Smile and Hug.

7. The song composer Sarojini Naidu of Gandhian era.

8. I do not want to argue or highlight on the most successful women like Indira Gandhi, Mayawati, and Mrs. Lau Prasad who are notorious for their ruthlessness in politics and personal life.

9. Music, Religion and Service: Florence Nightingale and the present day Nurses in hospitals cannot be compared with any good thing that has happened or will happen. They patiently listen, care and do things what we cannot even imagine. Helping doctors in critical operations, taking post-operative care on patients, maintaining clerical work of BP and other records. They do not work for rewards and no reward is sufficient to satisfy them. A little appreciation of their efforts from patients’ relatives and friends is enough. But this is not done. Instead they shout that nurses and hospital do not take enough care!

10. And Music season is now on in Madras – I will enjoy listening MLV’s sishya Sudha, Neyveli Santanagopalan and many more new entrants..

11. Freedom fighters like Jhansi Rani Lakshmibhai, Rani Mangamma, Jakkamma (wife of Veera Pandiya Kattabomman), Mother of Chatrapathi Shivaji, who devised the cunningness of Moslems against them. By killing the Great Afzal Khan! His mother motivated him by Maha Bharath anecdotes.

12. Mother of Adi Sankara. He was an Avatar of Siva as Dakhinamutrhy, to clear the doubts of Rishis. He is silent always. But he answered their queries and doubts through Bhasyam ( a detail explanation) on VISHNU Sahasra Namam, Bhagawad Gita and many Sanskrit works. He even has written a parallel to Kamasutra by ‘Vatsayana’. His detailed explanation on Ambal in Soundarya Lahari is incomparable. SO we Hindus have great respect for women, as part of man himself. Ardhanareswar concept is not available in any religion. And Adi Sankara was present at the time of his death of his mother, And the whole village went against him to be present and do the duties to a mother as he was a SAINT Sankara kept his mother on Plantain (VAZHAI Elai) .and the miracle happened! Such was the love of Adi Sankara, who could visualize his mother’s death and the needful and rites against opposition.

13. Similar incidents os Rasaleela by Sant Jayadeva who composed ‘ASTADAPATHI’ from Orissa and his wife are far from imagination for devotion to Love of World for modern days.

14. Wife of Puranadra Dasa from present day Karnataka is again a devotion incomparable to materialistic women reaching heights. While this is welcome, this is not the strength of India, as Mother ‘Annai’ had clearly pointed this.

15. Ok the notorious women like Indira Gandhi, Mayawati and the likes are there. Indira was shot dead for her treachery on making Army enter the sacred ‘Golden Temple’ of Amritsar. The Sikhs were wounded mentally. And she faced death by her own violent and inhuman methods and politics.

16. Now Sonia, the Vatican representative in India (I will never associate Gandhi name with her) is doing lot of things, worse than Moguls and the British, who ruled us (Namke ke Vaste). The core of Hinduism cannot be crushed. Because it is based on World Peace, tolerance for Moslem brothers and their falsely understood meaning of ‘Jihad’ and conversion violence by Christians in East India and South India, where it is prominent and appears in Media and Press.

17. At last I come to film celebrities like Shabana Azmi, Revathi, Suhasini, Lakshmi, Smitha Patil (ex), Sri Vidhya (died recently due to cancer and never complained about her personal life difficulties), and more women. I beg pardon for not mentioning their names. Please comment or suggest.

18. Important cultural and religious news – Wives of Saptharishis. I sure need a feedback or fight from so-called celebrities who do not understand the real divinity in women, respected by men. They participate in pattimandrams and TV shows to gain popularity and not for solving real issues through Love,

May be only Lakshmi does this in Jaya TV in Achamillai.

Sanjay Dutt arrest drama

Sanjay Dutt, The Munna Bhai and Murli, the Professor in Lage Raho can be pardoned, even if he is proved as a terrorist (an impossibility) in 1993 Mumbai blasts.

Because of the Gandhian values shown in his film Lage Raho Munnabhai. I have already written a review of the film previously. Sure he was proved guilty of illegal arms and let out on bail till December 18th. This clearly shows that judicial system in our country does not pardon even the VIP’s.

The Mumbai film industry is totally controlled by the underworld. It is known all over the world. No artists of any kind can have a say in the production or what to be displayed in the film. Even politicians are sure involved.

Consider this incident from South:
A Sadhu, Sant and head of a Hindu Mutt, 2500 years old is suddenly arrested for murder charges and put behind bars. Even if he is at fault (which is not the truth), the Police with the help of political support made him suffer.

And all the good-hearted people of India were silent!

In fact there is no suffering or insult for the Jagadguru – he is immune and a silent watcher. It is we, the Hindus who have been insulted.

The Hindus have faced the British, other European invaders and Moguls. And now we face hard times by wrongly elected politicians!

Jayendra Saraswathi is totally of a different character than the Maha Periyaval who believed only in Atma Balam (Strong Mind) and not money.

But according to present conditions of uncontrolled conversions and atrocities on Hindus, as mutt head he took decisions according to the situation. But sure he cannot even think of murder!

The present Jagadguru, Jayendra Saraswathi, who could talk Hindi and come to terms on Rama Janma Bhoomi at Ayodhya with Moslem Brothers and Leading Maulvis, was wasted. By political interference.

In North only film industry is controlled by the underworld. But in South all Temples, the funds, lands are controlled by politicians and misused.

And the Media coverage was the most biased in the case of Jayendra of Kanchi Mutt.

Except, New Indian Express, which gave the truth without fear.
That made me switch over to New Indian Express from THE HINDU, which I have been used to reading from 1970.

Sure THE HINDU, now run by Ram is a communist daily, which many dull old readers are not aware of. THE HINDU has no respect for any religion, particularly Hinduism.

Bombay Dadhas and Dons will sure save Dutt.

But here in South the situation is not under control from any angle. Only pious people and their sincere prayer will help them. And they can pray only. They are not socially aware.

How long this will go on? Sure ‘NAYAGAN’ (Kamala Hassan) or Mudalvan (Arjun) like people will arrive. And the RDB (Rang De Basanti) effect is really catching on.

So we have a chance to dream? No way. RGB effect ‘Rang De Basanti’ must catch on. Then only Jagadguru and Dutt will be saved.

Cricket and Sporting crowd of Chepauk, Chennai

I was a few minutes late due to heavy traffic regulation and parking.
It was Pakistan vs. India test match in Chepauk stadium, Chennai.

I thought opener Zaheer Abbas must be out, as the news spread was Pakistan started batting first. But when I entered the stadium the roar was for a boundary by Zaheer Abbas off the first ball! Yes Chennai crowd loves the game, applauds, appreciates and gives standing ovation to any man or team who play well.

Even the Ad campaigns are a proof. During those days AIR-INDIA and Amul butter (Better Butter) used to put huge hoarding near Thousand Lights (there is a mosque with thousand lights inside), Wallajah Road traffic signal (a famous road near Chepauk stadium where sports goods shops are there selling mainly cricket bats and tennis balls).

When West Indies arrived AIR-INDIA put a slogan ‘Let the Best Indies Win!’
When Pakistan with Imran Khan arrived the slogan was ‘Bowl your maidens over’

And the crowd gave a standing ovation to Saeed Anwar who scored 194, a record in one day cricket and still unbeaten. May be Dhoni or Shewag can beat that record.

And the Lankans, Australians, English have all appreciated the sporting crowd of Chennai and entertained them.

I remember Ian Botham, Vivian Richards, Clive Llyod and Sanath Jayasurya enjoying the atmosphere and enjoyed the crowd roaring, music and rushing for autographs from the visiting team players.

One of my friend’s daughter who did not like cricket at all, went for one day to watch a match against Australians. The big Green ground, crowd and the match itself, amazed her. Now she watches cricket first on TV!

I am eagerly waiting for the next one-day or test match at Chennai. Even though TV relays are there the Chepauk is always full to the capacity.

Coke (Coca-Cola) Mentos mixing fun and hyped death news

A news item was forwarded from my friend in Abu Dhabi, UAE that a little boy died in Brazil after eating MENTOS and drinking Coke (Coca-Cola) together.
coke1

I do not believe this. It must be a coincidence. The boy might have died due to food poisoning.
Evidence of death by Coke should be proved beyond doubt.

Of course Coke contains residual pesticides, toxins and Indian public is aware of this at least in Metros and other cities. But sure this causes a very slow death during a longer period of time.
Not sudden death.

I have experimented with my friends during college days. We used to put aspirin in Coca-Cola (now called Coke) and the gas used to rush and it was fun to watch. Drinking the coke with the rushing gas and bubbles was just a college thrill.
coke2

So mixing Coke with Mentos is not harmful or causes death.
I am sure this is a promotion campaign by Coke itself.
