I recently visited some Optical Illusions sites. Mind bogglong So I thought of sharing in blogging. I was inspired by a school magazine from Chennai - SCIENCE TOUCH - from GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya. I wanted the students to visit these sites (and more science sites) and benefit.

Haha.nu has a neat posting of photos of objects and places that look like faces - just our anthromorphosizing brain working to grasp patterns whereever they may be. Still, quite neat! This one above is probably one of the subtler photo they’ve got.

Lara scored a brilliant knock of 196 (off 230 balls) in first innings at Mutan against Pakistan.

He got his 100 in 77 balls before Lunch. Daniish Kaneria was the most to suffer with Lara making 71 from 59 balls. In the 30th over of Kaneria Lara blasted 26 runs.

He scored 19th Test 150 beating Don Bradman’s 18 150’s..

There are many records he broke against Pakistan.

And all of us know that he is highest Test scorer with 400 to his credit, that too against Australia, the strongest team!

Lara could have done more, but he is not a cautious and defensive player. He is a natural stroke player and takes risks. He is the Best Indies great batsman.

I love Agassi, the fighter who invented Return of Serve with same speed to the server of Ace like Goran Ivanichvich.

And he defeated my Sweet Pete in French Open.

There may have been many grand slam winners before him. They played on only two types of Tennis Courts – Grass in Wimbledon, other venues (all were grass then) and Clay in France.

But Agassi played and won in asphalt of US Open, re-modified Grass in Wimbledon, Bouncy Australian Court, the Dull and Long Clay Court play of French Open.

His adaptability is incomparable.

I have watched the great tie-setter of Bjourn Borg and Mckrenoe.

Mckrenoe was a very intelligent player and won many doubles and mixed doubles also.
He even poured words at the great Jim Connors.
He has a record of always arguing for line calls. But he never won a French Open.

And Beyond Borg never won US Open.

No great players have won grand slams. Only Agassi, with advanced Racquet, other technologies developed and crowd behaviour.

He learnt discipline also and showed respect to the decorum and ethics of Wimbledon.

He suffered from back injury and came back again like Dennis Lillie from Cricket.

Co-ordination of Eye and Hand. That is Agssis’s in born skill. His father recocnized this and motivated him.

The fighting spirit of Agassi is due to his father being a boxer and a failure. He wanted his son to prove that apart from practice, mental strength also is needed.

His private life posed problems, typical of an American – Brooke Shield of Blue Lagoon fame.

Now he is happy with Steffi Graf.

FedEx (Oh! Roger Federer of Switzerland) is a great player but he should prove that he can win a grand slam. Till then (and after also) Agassi is My hero in Tennis after John Mckrenoe.

ADAPTABILTY IS AGASSI!

There is a saying in Tamil ‘I do not care whether Rama or Ravana rules as long as I am happy’. This has also come as a song in a Tamil movie ‘Mullum Malarum’ meaning even a thorn can blossom into a flower. Rajnikant sings this song. The movie is all about a tough person turning into a nice man for the sake of his sister getting married.

So as an Indian why should I care whether Democrats or Republics win? Both mean business and sure India and me has nothing to gain. May be apart from Pepsi, Coke one more MNC will launch a drink and spoil the health and economy of India.

Many American soldiers died and US faced utter defeat in Vietnam. And also created many Rambos.

And Bush has repeated this in Iraq for the sake of Oil. Again thousands of American soldiers are dying. This is the reason Bush was defeated in recent elections.

Ravana captured the entire world. And tortured and killed innocents, Rishis and Sadhus. But did a mistake. He misunderstood man and got the boon from Lord Shiva that he should not be killed by any creation in the world, except human being – Man.
And Lord manifested and took the Avatar as Man – Rama.

It is a fact that during the rule of Rama every citizen was happy and peaceful. And Ravana’s end came through Rama.

Today there is no Rama Rajya anywhere in the world. Only Bush and No-Bush Rajya. But they will create Rambos and suicide bombers who will in turn destroy the peace that we Indians love. Peace always wins.

But due to fear and materialistic needs war will be there and was there. No one can understand this better than an Indian.

Love for all creations should come from the heart. Not Brain. This land has produced saints and Avatars and has still has enough saints (seen and unseen) and will produce more – for World Peace.

Till then should I sing ‘Raman Andalum Ravana enakkuru Kavalai Illai’? No.

November 23rd is coming – The 81st birthday of Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba.

And Youth of India is inspired by Satya Sai Baba to do many positive things for peace and help to humanity all over the world.

I really do not know much about Satya Sai. But sure he attracts by his smile and I feel at peace and enjoy!

Makkal TV belongs to Ramadoss, the PMK President

Makkal TV created a sensation by raising the topic of Temple Lands being misused for personal and commercial purpose.

Summary of Program in which H.Raja, (ex-MLA) and other leading personalities participated.

A glaring example is the proposed building of Asia’s biggest housing complex in Thirumangalam near Anna Nagar, Chennai. Six acres of land belonging to the famous Siva temple at Thirumangalam (Thiru Mangai Easwarar). The title deeds clearly point out the lands belong to the temple. And HDFC bank has agreed to finance Rs300 crores, which is surprising. So a large network of political and Real estate giants are involved.

Only in Tamilnadu irrespective of any ruling party, temple lands are misused (apart from the huge funds collected in Hundial and other contributions made by public in good faith) And sure they do not have the guts to interfere in Church or Mosque lands!

This was covered in Makkal TV newly launched in September with the blessings of Karunanidhi, the present CM of Tamilnadu. And the TV belongs to PMK an alliance of DMK (Ramadoss is the founder of PMK and Anbumani Ramadoss, the Union Minister for health is his son)

Makkal TV showed this program under ‘Neethiyin Kural’ (Voice of Justice). They made direct calls to Minister concerned and HR & CE officials. None of them answered!

They also mentioned that a total of 6,037 acres of temples over entire Tamilnadu is misused for commercial purpose or sold out.

I think Makkal TV covered this program as eyewash and to create sensation. Sure the SUN TV support is there and PMK’s channel runs with the blessings of MK, the CM of T. Nadu.

Any way the program did really convey one message – a proverb in Tamil ‘Sivan Sothu Kulanasam’ (Temple property misused for personal purpose, will ruin the entire generation, clan, which does it)
Speaking to media persons, Venu Sanjeevi, chairman and managing director of Makkal TV, said that Makkal TV would telecast seven news bulletins of 30 minutes each and an one-hour news bulletin with discussion daily, and proposed not to rely on cinema or cinema based content. More emphasis would be on women, children and agriculture and programs would feature on those lines.
The channel is the seventh Tamil satellite TV channel from the State after Sun, Sun News, Jaya, Raj, Win, and Tamizhan to broadcast news bulletins.
Sure Makkal TV is a competition created by SUN TV to avoid others entering the Media.

And ‘Neethiyin Kural’ is not Voice of Justice, but a program to fool the already ignorant mass of Tamil Nadu. But sure, they will understand, Justice wins finally for its own sake. And the Kural (Voice) of Media dominated by one family will be exposed.
