Some animals are better than other animals
BSNL billing and hidden costs
Till now I was thinking only banks (nationalized and private) used to charge exorbitant amount as services, without any explanation.
But BSNL does the same. And when I go to the customer care center the only explanation they give “Go to BSNL site - you will find details”. And the site has only loud announcement and Press releases. The site does not explain why my bill is exorbitant.
For the last two months I am getting extra charges on MB used in the ‘256 kbps broadband. The minimum amount to be paid is Rs.250/- for a limit of 400MB limit.
But BSNL is billing almost Rs.700/- to Rs.800/- extra on broadband usage in the bill without any explanation.
And half the time my Internet is down. The phone is not working for the past four days.
On New Year I had to call and receive calls on my mobile phone.
BSNL is famous for making announcements.
BSNL announced a New Year Bonanza to the Press that broadband home users with 256kbps will be automatically upgraded to 2Mb speed and 1 GB limit from Monday, January 1st., with a note: Subject to Technical Feasibility!!
But yesterday my broadband connection got frequently disconnected and worked very slow.
I almost thought of changing the services from BSNL to others.
They are not better. But I have no choice - like which party to vote when the election comes.
Which is lesser devil? I have to choose.
In the end like George Orwell in his “Animal Farm” said - “All animals are equal” but slowly the pigs in the novel, which start to rule the farm say, “Some animals are better than other animals”.

He heh! Funny title but really true story about the kind of customer service we have here in our country. I wonder what it means when we say “Customer comes first” - these companies dont care a damn about their customers. I wish the BAR Counsel or some other Advocate forum come and help us out to take some legal action in these scenarios
