Practice is difficult and Theory is easy to advice

War is inevitable from time immemorial. A King wants to establish his Empire and expand. He adopts many techniques for this. He may succeed or fail. But he attempts.

The worst with scientific improvements during WI and WII is the height. The UNO formed after and the Veto Power is well known.

Only America rules the World in technology of warfare and dictates terms and sanctions. And entire economy of USA depends on testing and selling war equipments to the Third World.

And they have succeeded in promoting their products, other than Military to other countries!

All countries are at least 20 years behind the developments by USA in any field.

India having faced Mogul invasion and cunning British ruling using Divide and Rule policy ruled India for 300 years. But now the Western Culture (Americans have no culture) is more dangerous. In Dress, Pizza, Burger and Fast foods.

All is not lost for India. MAN is behind machines. India is progressing in various scientific, medical fields and even clever technologies where USA cannot even think of.

The Americans use their brains to support Mush, and other Arabs to their advantage. How long will this be fruitful? They have to answer.

India’s only strength is Spirituality and “ATMA’ the Inner strength. It is painful that Yoga, which was given free to the World by India, is now patented.

No one can easily understand KARMA, Cycle of births and the fruits of Karma.

And this is Kali Yuga. Things happen fast. Soon you can see a Good World, for which India will be the cause.

Chapter two of Bhagawad Gita explains Body-Mind co-ordination and Chapter six clearly explains foods that influence body and mind.

The entire Gita is all about Way of Living – Ending with How a human should contribute to him, his family, society and environment.

And if these are not followed GOD himself take an Avatar to rectify this.

We humans are nothing, considering the damage caused to Mother Earth! by way of War, hatred and innocence.

So Yoga, a perfect science, very clearly explained by Patanjali and Bhagwan Sri Krishna is for all us to practice. OK we may fail in practicing continuously.

But Persistence is the need of the hour. We will succeed for Inner Peace and Worldly Peace.

Theory is Good. Practice Please.

USA is no more a safe place for Medical treatment – They experiment more on lives than save them

At least two of my close relatives sons died while taking treatment. One was 23 years old and a budding marketing executive. After a long time and detailed check (and lots of money spent he was diagnosed for cancer in stomach.

And more experiments were done on him to confirm and start the chemotherapy. By that time it was too late and he died smilingly.

And today morning, I received a call from USA of another shocking news. This time it was cancer in throat! Again the same old story and mental agony, waiting and finally declared dead! My Uncle’s son aged 48, is working in CITY BANK as a Senior Officer was healthy and happy.

I cannot accept the fact that both the incidents are coincidence.

Sure it is a case of overdose of science and less diagnostic sense. Depending more on equipments to experiment on patients like testing latest warfare techniques in Afghanistan and Iraq!

Here in India many patients come from neighboring countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and even from America. They return home after successful surgery and treatment, with 1/10th of the cost in USA.

And there are many first class doctors, equipments and research done here in India to save lives. And not experiment on them and make them dead!

True to a Doctor’s profession SAVING A LIFE is more important.

And Indians are better than the Americans in this!

Vegetarian cannot be Terrorists - Miami Cult not Muslims - Informed Comment by Juan Cole

Cole is President of the Global Americana Institute
In his article on Thoughts on the Middle East, History, and Religion, he has written a nice research article.

I just saw the spokesman for the Council on American Islamic Relations on CNN saying that the Miami cult members just arrested are not Muslims. I’d say that is a fair statement.

For one thing, they are vegetarians!

It seems pretty obvious that they are just a local African-American cult which mixed Judaism, Christianity and (a little bit of) Islam.

It seems to be a of vague offshoot of the Moors group founded by Dwight York. I heard on CNN that one of them talked of being Moors. And Batiste, the leader, called whites “devils” in the tradition of the original Nation of Islam and York’s Moors.

Now CNN is saying one member said they practiced witchcraft [likely meaning Haitian voodoo or perhaps Santeria-like rituals]. One former member is called Levi-El, suggesting he might be associated with the Black Hebrew movement or an offshoot.

Now a relative of one of the members, Phanor, said that they wore black uniforms with a star of David arm patch and considered themselves of the Order of Melchizadek. I wonder if it is “Seas of David” or “C’s of David”, with “c” meaning commando or some such?

I define cult as a religious group that has values that put it in a high state of tension with the norms of mainstream society, and that has a leadership that imposes high levels of discipline and demand for control of adherents’ lives.

This Seas of David group primarily seems to have been studying the Bible. The mother of one insisted that he is a Catholic. Then there is all that Jewish symbology and terminology, even in their names.

Islam was nothing more for them but a set of symbols they could pull into their syncretic local culture. The group drew on poor Haitian immigrants and local indigent African-American youth. If this were the 1960s, they’d have been Black Panthers or Communists.

American folk religion, pursued in small groups with charismatic leaders, is replete with such groups, from Father Divine to Jim Jones of the People’s Temple to David Koreish.

The group never got past the stage of talking big, and violently. They talked dangerously, and some sort of intervention was warranted. Since they begged the FBI informant for “shoes,” they weren’t exactly a well-heeled group that seems very dangerous in actual practice. And, to what extent did the FBI informant press an al-Qaeda connection on these otherwise clueless but imaginative zealots?

But contrast the grandstanding of Alberto Gonzales on this group of poor unarmed ghetto folk with the way in which the Robert J. Goldstein case was treated.
He actually had the bombs in his house and was going to blow up Floridians. No press called him a “Jewish” terrorist and no questions were ever raised about his possible international links.

Imagine the horror of an urbane Arab-American professional with university higher degrees, steeped in Islamic culture and contributing to American society, at being lumped in by the American press and officialdom with these cultists who appropriated his religion for their violent religious fantasies.

The other thing to say is that American law is soft on cultic practices, of dirty tricks against and smearing of critics, enforced third-party shunning, manipulation, and group coercion. These things are not protected by the First Amendment and I think one part of our counter-terrorism strategy must be to develop legal strategies to make it easier to disrupt the workings of cults before they accumulate a critical mass for violent action.

The practice of just letting the head of the Internal Revenue Service decide if a group is a tax-free religion should also be revisited. In the past, some IRS heads appear to have been blackmailed by cults into granting them that status, which allows them to accumulate more wealth.

Whereas most terrorism is a form of educated, middle class politics, this particular group clearly grew out of the grievances and resentments of race and class inequality in the United States.
……..

The position of the poor and workers in particular is deteriorating in the US, as more and more of the privately held wealth is concentrated in the hands of a white, privileged, few…..

Juan,
I live in the Detroit area and have been disgusted by the press coverage on the Miami situation. I find the degree of threat in Miami near 0, this story is worse than the “Detroit Sleeper Cell” story. At least it will dilute the Duke Lx BS.

The BBC quotes Miami Herald reporter Mani Garcia as calling the arrests “overblown.” Be sure to check out this link to a BBC story about the new division in the FBI devoted to domestic spying and the need for home grown terrorist cells, which Attorney General Alberto Gonzales calls no less dangerous despite a clear link to al Qaeda, becomes apparent…..

Well said, Mr. Cole. It’s heartening to know that many Americans will see right through such a ridiculous farce. Muslim terrorists indeed….Will these people will ever get a clue??

With respect to a possible black Hebrew connection, Maimi was the home of a violent group using Hebrew terms and symbols led by a man calling himself Yahweh Ben Yahweh. A Miami Herald reporter described the cult in a 1994 book called Brother Love: Murder, Money, and a Messiah. A name like Levi-El suggests the possibility of a history with them.

At 9:15 PM, Dr. Rudy Kastner said…
Who’s this “al Qaeda representative” cited throughout the indictment? This so called representative seemed to have all the money, weapons, and connections. The Justice Department, nor the media, seems to interested finding out or revealing who is this “al Qaeda representative.” Anyway, how “fortunate” for these seven impoverished black men in Miami to have this “Sugar Daddy” show up out of no where to take these poor men under his wings with the promise of money and adventure.
Can you say FBI AGENT PROVOCATEUR?

Dr. Cole,
Just to set the record straight I know several Muslims who are vegetarian. There certainly isn’t any prohibition against it, and in the current context of industrial animal production one could actually find a justification for it.

One of my favorite news commentators, Travus T. Hipp, mentioned that this operation was a “sting”, and suggested quite bluntly that it means the FBI did most of the “War planning” and sold it to the group.

When I read this:
“Dwight York, a former Black Panther…”

…in the SPLC’s write-up on David York, it brings to mind so many infitrated organizations of the 60s, and where all the independent informers, opportunists, and provocateurs went.

They went into the cult business…..

lease this sort of carelessness is not worthy of the informed.)

Ram Hanuman Sethu Bridge is real says NASA and Karunanidhi does not listen to Science, Facts or Seers

Here is a nice article by Gurumurthy In The New Indian Express, Chennai:

“Sethu critics anti-national, says MK.” This is how a newspaper front-paged Dr M Karunanidhi’s address at a public meeting in Chennai held in defence of the Sethu Samudram Project. The Chief Minister said that “those opposing the Sethu Samudram Ship Canal Project in the name of God, religion, epic and mythology are anti-national,” added the report.

His speech was widely reported yesterday (May 17). A related news item titled “Top Hindu leaders plan Sethu stir” also appeared the same day. Who are the Hindu leaders? Not Ashok Singhal and Pravin Togadia.

They are Shankaracharyas of Puri, Dwaraka, Badrinath and Sringeri, four high seats of spirituality in India. These Hindu seers have decided on a nationwide agitation against the Sethu Samudram Project, said the print medium report. The Shankaracharyas will never come on the streets to agitate. What is it that drives these noble souls to cross their limits of tolerance?

It is the Sethu Samudram project _ in the cause of which Dr MK addressed the public on May 16 _ that agitates them. Sethu, a Sanskrit word, means ‘bridge’. The seers believe, with long standing tradition to support that belief, that the Sethu is the one built for Sri Rama to cross the ocean from the mainland that is now India to go to Sri Lanka. The Rama Sethu is a land link between India and Sri Lanka even now.

The NASA satellite has captured on its camera this link millions of years old. There is a lot of historical evidence to say that centuries ago people used to walk on Rama Sethu. This ancient bridge is in danger of being broken and dismantled if the Sethu Samudram Peoject is implemented.

The project is intended to create a shipping route along the sea coast of India from the Bay of Bengal to the Arabian Sea without having to go around Sri Lanka. The advocates of the project say this makes eminent commercial sense. There is political opposition to the project, from Jayalalithaa and AIADMK to Advani and BJP. The VHP and RSS have also strongly opposed the project. Their opposition may be viewed as mobilisational. But the objection of the seers is founded on faith which a secular state is bound to respect.

These seers are pained that after the project is implemented, as Swami Dayanada Saraswati has said, there will be only Samudram and no Sethu, even though the project is named Sethu Samudram project! Political opposition to the Sethu Samudram project may be dismissed as motivated. But can the government ignore the voice of men of high spiritual standing like the Shankaracharyas who have no political motive at all? Can the government dismiss the concerns of the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha representing almost the entire Hindu religious spectrum which has no political agenda at all?

The government is questioning the beliefs of these seers and millions of faithfuls about the Rama Sethu. Dr MK says that the opposition is in the name of God, religion, epic and mythology. This logic is dangerous. That he would never have said it had the issue concerned Muslims or Christians is besides the point. A secular state should never make its relation with faith of the majority or a minority so adversarial.

Again the opposition to the project is not just an issue of faith. Experts like S Badrinarayanan, Retd Director General of Geological Survey of India, and V Srinivasan, consultant geologist, have said that the Rama Sethu is not a natural formation but man made. There is trans-religious opposition to the project. Eminent, secular intellectuals like Justice VR Krishna Iyer and Justice KT Thomas have also voiced concern about the peoject from the geo-political and security view point.

Dr Tad Murthy of Canada, one of world’s most respected tsunami experts, has said that Kerala which was saved by the Rama Sethu from the killer tsunami of 2004, will be exposed to tsunamis in future. This is not an exhaustive list of those outside the religious and political spectrum who are against the project. Why even the Prime Minister’s Office yes, the Dr Manmohan Singh’s office has raised 16 queries which were answered by the Tuticorin Port Trust two days after yes after commencement of the project, so as to make it a fait accompli!

Would Dr MK say that these experts and intellectuals who are against the Sethu Samudram project are also anti-nationals? Does he also accuse that the Sankaracharyas of Puri, Dwaraka, Badrinath and Sringeri as anti-nationals? In fact those concerned at the destruction of the Rama Sethu do not oppose the Sethu Samudram Project itself. They only want the Sethu canal constructed with the ancient Sethu the bridge intact. It is possible, say experts. This is what the government needs to examine. And that is precisely what it is unwilling to do.

An eminent leader like Dr MK, who just celebrated 50 years of legislative service, should have avoided using such abusive language against men of high standing in science and religion. On the other hand, he should order a review of the project in the light of the reasoned opposition to it. A government that does not listen to wise counsel invariably faces mobs on the streets.
