Indian Political Ministers – Enjoy lavishly at taxpayers money
The following figures are not imaginary but actual facts. AA minister enjoys the following facilities at our expense and we are silent watchers!
1. Basic salary: Rs.16,000
2. Daily allowance Rs.1000
3. Constituency allowance Rs.20000 per month
4. Sumptuary allowance Rs 3,000
5. Telephone – Two phones, 1,75,000 free calls per year. Mobile allowance Rs.2,500 per month, free mobile handset and free Internet
6. Travel Unlimited airtickets for self, 48 journeys per year for family, unlimited first class AC train journeys with a companion.
7. No rent and unlimited electricity
8. Staff - Can keep 15 members in personal staff – one private secretary one additional PS, two Pas, one Hindi steno, driver, clerk, jamadar and peon.
So the perks alone amounts to lakhs of Rupees, hard earned by us. And at least half the Ministry is dummy and not functioning but still claim the amount.
The Supreme Court must intervene and make the minister accountable for the projects they have completed and for the money spent.
In the olden days prior to the Budget session each ministry must submit detailed reports about want happened in the previous tear and demand for fresh project was analysed by a Special committee.
Now all those formalities have gone. Only coalition is the slogan and fear of losing power is present.
Sure I wish those days come back again.
