Many websites on Chennai Information

Of late there are many websites offering various kind of information on Chennai. But all of them are Ad Hungry and there are more Online Ads and pop up windows.

Information viewed on the screen hardly stays in memory. A ready reckoner book will come handy. And online shopping still has very few takers.

Sunday riding by a 2-wheeler

There will be less traffic in the morning hours. And people will be watching TVs or leisurely reading newspapers and Sunday special magazines.

So I have an opportunity to ride my 2-wheeler and explore my area for new streets, shortcuts to avoid traffic jams on working days. The ride in this climate will itself bring a beautiful experience.

I can take a long distance ride to beach, just sit and watch the sea and waves and children playing without worries.
And visit my old friends and give them some books and get some!

And wear a Helmet and take my license copy!

Most important keep the mobile phone at home! COme back and answer missed calls.

Travel by Train is the most exciting…

Traveling by train to Bangalore, Coimbatore or Ooty is a peaceful and joyous experience.
My pending lists of travel by train:
1. Parakkum Rail (Metro Train) in Chennai which cuts across the city giving a nice view of the Chennai. It has been extended and the work is going on.
2. Travelling by train along Konkan coast with lots of tunnels and bridges.

I cannot forget the song “Mere Sapno Ki Rani” in Aradhana and “Talttum Katre Vaa” in Tamil where AJit drives a Gypsy and Jothika is in train, both going to attend their friends’ wedding.
