Kalaignar TV Launch and Kalaignar TV Programs
Another one enters the expanding list of Tamil TV Channels - Kalaignar TV.
DMK’s Kalaignar TV is scheduled to launch on the 15th of September which we all know is “Vinayakar Chathurthi”. However, DMK sources claim that are not concerned about Vinayakar Chatrhuthi. They rather chose the date as it was Anna’s birthday. He heh, what a coincidence! :)
Sarath Kumar, an experienced hand from Sun TV, has taken the charge as the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of the Channel. He plans to telecast 9 news bulletins per day apart from regular soap operas, film related shows and serials.

The new channel’s logo will be that of the Rising Sun, symbol of the party. According to his announcement, the new channel will be people friendly and will co-ordinate with the party & Government and broadcast the right information to the people of the state.
