For 36 years Chennai did not want to copy the Newyork or Mumbai culture of going sky to solve the housing problem. Chennai has no water drainage facility, no proper ducts for power and communication cables, no water supply and sewerage pipes bursting all over. The USA had a Howard Roark to visualize going sky with all these in mind. But Hell’s gates will open for Chennai soon.

Already the apartment in which I live has all the problems of a total unhygienic surrounding - a lake in front my house due to rains, the seized vehicles rusting, garbage rotting, temporary construction workers putting up a tent cooking, washing, urinating and quarrelling and turning violent. All this has an impact on my health. I must shift and this skyscraper plan makes me to think shifting out of Chennai.
And the Government has announced impractical solution to traffic congestion and poor. Instead of solving, election promises are being thrown.
