Launch of video game by Sony delayed

Sony rules the video games market which is huge than the computer sales. Recently the LittleBigPlanet game has been delayed as it contains offensive music to the Arabs and Quran.
Sony has close competeition by Microsoft XBox. The game is to be released on Diwali, October 27.  I am surprised why Flight Simulator is not very popular, the most realistic and wonderful game. You can choose a real airplane of your choice, the route and fly! May be too many controls and lack of the ‘child in you’ or ‘casino’ feeling to it.

Diwali Rains in Chennai different

Non-stop heavy showers in Madras! Though my Mumbai friend says it’s common to see rains there like this from June for three months. Rains to Chennai due to South west or North east winds are always weak. But every year during Diwali cyclones are a regular feature and rains in Chennai are different than the boring ones in Mumbai. It will rain when there is a test match or a political cause. India won the match in Mohali as there was no rain. The human chain for Tamils in Sri Lanka has been postponed due to rains.
We madrasis get damp and cold if there is a drizzle.  Think of the heavy pouring down! And my TV gone dead due to lightning!

The women’s magazines in Tamil

Like the Tamil TV serials which does not solve the problems of Tamil women but only highlight and increase them, the Tamil magazines goes a step beyond. I had a chance to read them when I had nothing else to read. All the editors discuss in the editorials the problems of working women and their sacrifices. What is to be done with some Love is made into a mountain. And as usual the entire male population is viewed with the alien and intruder attitude. And the entire women of west portrayed as sinners. The politics inside the family due to women is not properly addressed. The short stories or long short stories (Kuru Novel) pamper to the negative traits like jealousy, protectiveness and justification and compromise. Like the sad flute and violin tones as BGM in TV serials, an improper and inappropriate quote from scripture is added.
There is always an additional pull-out with most ridiculous recipes, kolams and advice on using two-wheelers. I am one hundred percent sure no woman uses these advice and tips. All the advice is general and applies to men also! Like one of the two-wheel tip says “Read the manual well”.
The young women are capable, clever, positive and really do not need to read these Tamil magazines. The old are matured enough not to waste time reading nonsense, but enjoy life with more positive reading and viewing. The middle aged has lots of practical problems to attend to. I really pity the other women folk who read these.
