Habit of Spending

I need to consider just practical things, when the going will get tough in the coming days. Every rupee I spend will need some thought before it changes hands. But the habit of spending for personal, social and religious needs cannot be changed. When I spend, someone earns. I cannot stop the cycle suddenly.

I can start with something like this – I assume, I have only say Rs.10/- to spend for another week! (Yes a very small amount, I agree). So I will be forced to walk and not to have some costly coffee and spoil my health. I will listen only to songs on my mobile and will not call my friends. There are many things I can start doing. But I need to buy a pen for Rs.10/- first and just write down on ‘How to Spend’ so I that I forget what to do.

Indian creative toys

Thanjavur Thalaiyatti Bommai is simple pair of clay dancing dolls based on center of gravity. The doll with a heavy bottom and round shaped rocks on all sides but does not fall.
As a child I have enjoyed this doll and wondered. It gives me cheer and smiles on my face. It makes me feel as though it accepts my feelings and nods. Like a ‘boom boom madu’.

There is one more variety like a dancing girl where the head and body mildly rocks on sides giving a dancing doll. These simple dolls are inexpensive and non-toxic.
The childhood memories like playing with set of miniature cooking vessels called ‘choppu’ must be encouraged what with the harmful toxic toys from China.
