Nachiketas knew the secret

Death is the saddest thing in the World. A sudden departure of the known people makes even the Mahatmas cry. Nachiketas meets Lord Yama, the God of death and wants to know the Supreme secret, which is death itself.
One of the best Upanishad is that of Nachiketas. I understand while I read it, but forget it in a day or two. Similarly the death of near one, remains in my mind for a few years or more. But the moment, I eat and begin to think of other people around me, I feel I tend to forget the miserable.

I happened to witness two deaths in this year. One that of a young man whose marriage was fixed, a very hard and knowledgeable worker in a Clinic. He died in a road accident and that was huge shock. Another one was yesterday, that of a very nice Doctor also young. I cried, but still unable to recover from the shock.

Annai Main events and original name

Mirra Alfassa, the Mother was born in Paris on 21 February 1878. Her early education was given at home. Around 1892 she attended a studio to learn drawing and painting, and later studied at the Paris Salon.

At the age of thirty-six the Mother journeyed to Pondicherry, India, to meet Sri Aurobindo. She saw him on 29 March 1914 and at once recognised him as the one who for many years had inwardly been guiding her spiritual development. Staying for eleven months, she was obliged to return to France because of the First World War. She lived in France for about a year and then in Japan for almost four years. On 24 April 1920 she returned to Pondicherry to resume her collaboration with Sri Aurobindo, and remained here for the rest of her life.

At that time a small group of disciples had gathered around Sri Aurobindo. The increase of disciples led to the founding of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram on the 24th Nov, 1926. From the beginning Sri Aurobindo entrusted the Mother with full material and spiritual charge of the Ashram. After almost 50 years of work at every level, the Mother left her body on 17th Nov. 1973, at the age of ninety five.

“I belong to no nation, no civilization, no society, no race, but to the Divine.
I obey no master, no rules, no law, no social convention, but the Divine.
To Him I have surrendered all, will, life and self; for Him I am ready to give all my blood, drop by drop, if such is His will, with complete joy, and nothing in his service can be sacrifice, for all is perfect delight.” - The Mother

Pattammal is a legend

With competition only due to men, she the carnatic singer filled the stage of music lovers. I believed all along that she is no more, as there was no news in the paper. But a sudden news that one of the trio (the other two being MS and MLV) died brought a sadness. I listen to the Carnatic music and enjoy it. Now-a-days the music must get money, but the guts and classic touch of DK will never be matched.

Her husband is 94 and he is more to be encouraged as he was with her always.

Misunderstanding bring misery

I misunderstand myself. I do not talk much now a day and whatever I talk is misunderstood. This is happening for the past few months. Yet I do live – Imagine the stress caused to others! This happens because I believe I do not know what to do. The big and small people have their own thing to pay or some kind of sorrow to bear. But I worry much about tomorrow, not today which is happier. So the World was a much happier place, when I was young and did not know about the World and its functions. Now I know, but worry about it too much.
I only wish God gives me back the young and beautiful days. Or I can take it back myself. It takes a fraction of a second and a change of place.
