New Year wishes

Every one of us wants to enjoy the New Year and hope that it will bring joy to us. And I need to complete pending things and works and start a year without any worries. This is possible when I have a healthy mind and body. This is also possible when God’s Grace is there. So what should I do? I need to pray, sincerely from my heart. The amount of sincerity cannot be measured and it will reflect only on the work I do.

So wish you all a Happy New year 2010!

Pitch drama

There a match abandoned! I remember the match when India won in West Indies where the pitch was more dangerous and six of the Indian players injured by the ball. Mohinder Amarnath and his brother Surinder Amarnath played in that match. And Gavaskar did not wear a helmet!

The fifth and final one day between India and Sri Lanka was abandoned that too after 23.3 overs were bowled. So it took so much time to judge that the pitch was bad. Sure it is a fight between Delhi and Bombay. The visitors were at 83 for 5 is the reason why Sri Lankan Captain Sangakara asked for stopping of the game!

Using mute on TV

Minimum ads is what makes me watch an Australia vs. Pakistan (or West Indies previously) cricket matches with much interest. I use mute often when watching India vs. Sri Lanka cricket matches on TV. Even Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri is a bore to watch when what they comment is not about the game but about not so important stats and brag about their (not) golden days.

I use my remote very rarely as it is always in mute mode when I watch India and Sri Lanka play. I release the mute only when players get out or hit sixes or century. The commentary is really a bore when Ravi or Gavaskar come.

Free Online reading

Nobel Prize winner and Russian author had made it free for all of us to read his books. There was a news article in today’s newspaper that the Russian author Paulo Coelho had made all his books online free. The Nobel Prize winner’s the book ‘The Alchemist” is available online for free.

The site address is: http://www.paulocoelho.com/engl/dow.shtml
I have checked the site and I have started reading the book!

The box news in today’s ‘The Times of India’ on page 10 further states that millions of his books has been sold after the free online reading of his famous Noble prize winning book “The Alchemist”. His website is Pirate Coelho online. The author Paulo Coelho has total 26 titles to his credit and his book “The Alchemist” has sold 65 million copies.
The author says that he would choose $3 to write a book for 3 million readers than being paid $3 million to make the book read by only 3 people!

That is Internet revolution and I am happy to blog!

Tuesday had been boring

The climate was really chill. And I received some good mails regarding funny posters of Paa and about the Tamil film of Vijay. I had to reply to a particular mail from my relative which had something about our recent mechanical behaviour towards religious functions.
My view is that we need not understand the Vedas (nor can we even if attempt) but say the Mantras with respect.

We have many things to do in Life watch the TV, go to a Restaurant, watch a Movie and other busy schedules. In the midst of this busy life, if we find time to do our Daily routines or Amavasya or other duties, God bless us. Else blame it on Kali Yuga which makes every one of us dodge away from our Normal daily duties to do. Better still, pray to the Kali Purusha himself and be brave to do Manasika Pooja!
