Today there will be power cut in my area from morning 9 am to evening 5 pm. I read this in the local Newspaper just now and started writing this. Only last week this happened and I went and complained to the local electricity office and they have all sorts of answers – technical and non technical. I am fortunate compared to the sufferings of people residing in cities other than Chennai.

One technical man from Electricity says that it is all due to old equipments like transformers and power loss. He says there is enough power but due to poor maintenance due to lack of proper equipments, this happens. Already the Tamilnadu Electricity Board is in heavy loss, but this has nothing to do with the power cuts that are being imposed now.

I have long felt that I need to develop my own power for my home and sure I thank the TNEB to motivate that now.
