Merry Christmas

All around me loudspeakers are blasting Lord Iyyappa songs. I had gone to Iyyappa shrine with devotion and my Iyyappa devotes used to cheer me up saying that I should say Sharaam Iyyappa in a loud voice. And I used to say and gain divine strength to climb the mountains. There were lots of Christians too coming for the darshan of Lord Iyyappa, singer Jesudoss being one of them. And many Muslims too and we used to pray at Vavar samy. I think only in our country such devotion and Bakthi exists. To people who are visiting Lord Iyyappa such blaring loud speakers may be necessary but sure it does hurts the ears of others. We Indians are tolerant people but sure on this Merry Christmas let us lower the volume of the speakers and increase the brightness of the stars that we hang up outside our homes.

In my neighbourhood some Christians some days ago celebrated their new house inauguration. They had put up speakers with cinema music blasting at full sound throughout night for two days. They must understand the neighbours’ listening capacity too!

Choosing a good time and place

Good time in Hindu religion is chosen by purpose of the occasion and the birth star of the person who is doing it. The birth stars fall into 27 and are light years away from Earth. I really cannot give here all the details of the stars and how the good time is chosen.

But I find some people who are guides and important are selfish and argue that the time suitable for them is the best! Kali purusha effect! Let me not bother about these petty things and concentrate on the glory of God who will guide us all into a happy path.

Prayer for others

I cannot understand myself and my problems. I cannot pray for myself. So I cannot understand others’ problems and pray for them. If you believe in Karma theory one suffers for his own past deeds. I cannot enter into his mind nor understand what is inside his mind. I can compare the difficulties of one from another, but it would be difficult for me to estimate the patience one has or the indifference he has to undergo the present suffering.

The best I can do is to chant the good mantras and sincerely wish the difficulty for the suffering be removed. With the hectic life we are forced to live on (or have forced on ourselves) I cease to think of the problems. Solutions to the problems must come, we must have the patience.

Tuesday had been boring

The climate was really chill. And I received some good mails regarding funny posters of Paa and about the Tamil film of Vijay. I had to reply to a particular mail from my relative which had something about our recent mechanical behaviour towards religious functions.
My view is that we need not understand the Vedas (nor can we even if attempt) but say the Mantras with respect.

We have many things to do in Life watch the TV, go to a Restaurant, watch a Movie and other busy schedules. In the midst of this busy life, if we find time to do our Daily routines or Amavasya or other duties, God bless us. Else blame it on Kali Yuga which makes every one of us dodge away from our Normal daily duties to do. Better still, pray to the Kali Purusha himself and be brave to do Manasika Pooja!

Annai the Mother from France

I find that there exists no comparison to the love of mother. And think of our Annai for whom the entire Universe is a Child. She came to India to strengthen the spiritual links and spread it to the world. Our success in this world depends on our happiness and the Grace of God. Let us pray to Annai (Mother) for success in our life.
Our Mother was in France. She came to India and spread the Love.

Here are some links for more information on Mother:
“The Mother” in fact is simply an Indian title of respect for a female Spiritual Teacher, just as male Teachers are called “Baba”, meaning “Father” says the quote from the following site:
