Judges of AirTel super singers

I really find the judges of AirTel Super Singers very enthusiastic, encouraging and happy. They really understand the starting problems of the Singer, the expert advice, the efforts to be followed to become a good singer and advice they give to young artists to follow. The amount of money they get is immaterial compared to the words they utter carefully and balance the show. They do not hurt the upcoming talents by unwanted words. They are 100% positive words to enhance the talents of the youngsters. Unless the youngsters are deep in their understanding of the Ragas they cannot shine.

SPB is a talented singer.
SPB (S P Balasubramanian), about whom I thought he can only sing, showed he has enough knowledge of the Carnatic and Hindustani music. What if the Carnatic Music people choose to damage the voice box like him? Music is divine and the Light Music is here to stay. People with more inner calm and expertise choose to sing Carnatic Music.

Annai Video from Devotee

I have not analysed and immediately putting the video as per the request of a devotee.

Let us pray Sri.Annai. Annai (Mother) from France settled in Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu and understood deeply the significance of Indias strength. Till her last breath she spread just Love for suffering human and non-suffering humans.
The Great Aurobindo invited her in a trance and dream. She came to India. She advised Indians to concentrate on the Spiritual wealth of India, which is strength and peace of an individual for personal, his relatives and World Peace. It is a very difficult concept to explain. We may have to experience it, and revel the grace of true love of Annai without any boundaries or conditions.
Let us pray to Annai (Mother) for success in our life.

CHRONOTOPIA in Chennai

India Foundation for the Arts and Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts
in association with SPINZ present
CHRONOTOPIA
A new multi-media dance performance:
Time 7.30 pm, Feb 18th 2009, Wednesday at
The Music Academy

Choreographed by Mr Jayachandran Palazhy and the dancers, Attakkalari
Supported by India Foundation for the Arts

Brief note on Chronotopia:
Inspired by the Tamil epic `Chilappathikaram’, Attakkalari’s multi-media dance production, examines the plight of an individual in these tumultuous times, where spaces - internal and external, empirical and imagined, historical and contemporary as well as mythical, cultural and spiritual appear and disappear in one’s life in an unreal fashion as if one is on a journey, dislocating chronology.

The performance by Attakkalari’s talented Repertory, anchors on a central female character represented by three dancers. Chronotopia’s unique abstract movement vocabulary reflects and embodies the human circumstance, and in the process, time dissolves and dislocates, infusing the landscape with tenderness and loss.

Highly pixilated traces of projected images (Christian Ziegler) , complemented by abstracted light installation ( Chris Salter and Marje ), create an interactive context for the evocative performance, highlighted by Thomas Dotzler’s restrained and refined light design.

Intricate choreography by Jayachandran Palazhy (along with the dancers) is set to an original, vibrant and melodic score by French composer Mathias Duplessy, (created in collaboration with Carnatic musicians from Bangalore).

Emotional, haunting and introspective, CHRONOTOPIA is an ode to the senses, a magical tour de force through the voyage of life

Chronotopia was funded under India Foundation for the Arts’ New Performance Programme, 2006-07.
