Detained Indian doctor’s wife appeals to Indian Government

Firdous Haneef, wife of Mohammad Haneef, the 27-year-old Indian doctor charged with abetting the failed Glasgow bomb attack by the Australian police, on Saturday appealed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Defence Minister A K Antony to intervene and help to secure the safe release of her husband.

Speaking to mediapersons at her residence here, she reiterated that her husband was innocent and the framing of charge on her husband was ”baseless”.

”Every Indian and Australian citizen know that Dr Haneef is innocent,” the doctor’s wife claimed.

Firdous appealed to the Indian authorities and the Prime Minister, through the media, to facilitate telephonic talk with her husband. Earlier, the Australian authorities had allowed Dr Haneef to speak to her for a minute and the latter had reportedly advised his wife not to panic on his arrest and had pleaded innocence during his brief talk with her.

The Australian police had arrested Dr Haneef, at the instance of Britain police, in the eastern city of Brisbane on July 2 when he tried to board a flight with a one-way ticket to return to India.

Australian police had charged Dr Haneef with abetting the terrorists, his cousins, by giving his Sim card to them, after subjecting him to 12-days detention and interrogation. The move of the Australian police to frame charges against Dr Haneef had dashed the hopes of the family members, who were anxiously waiting for his release.

Dr Haneef, who had migrated to Australia from Britain lin 2006 was working in gold coast hospital in Australia, before being arrested by the Australian police in connection with the failed Glasgow international airport’s car blast.

The Indian doctor was said to be the cousin of Mohammed Kafeel, who had allegedly hatched the blast conspiracy and driven the burning jeep into the airport.

The Final Theory – Rethinking our scientific legacy

The above book is published and distributed by Universal Publishers

Spotlighted Review:
“The Final Theory replaces much of what we
think is absolute with a simple unifying principle
that eliminates many idiosyncrasies and
contradictions of our current theories. It makes one
think about that which is taken for granted as
absolute in physics and realize there is alot that is
truly unknown.”

Professional recipient, 2006
(mvp.support.microsoft.com/mvpinsider_2006-07)

Contents of the book in short:
Our scientists readily acknowledge there are still questions to be answered, but are you aware of just how little science can currently explain about even the most common observations? Are you aware of the verified failures of even our most celebrated
theories, such as the Big Bang, Special Relativity and General Relativity? And did you know that a solid new theory has arrived that resolves many of the questions that still baffle even our best scientists?

Read on to see the fatal flaws in today’s science for yourself, hear about the serious failings of our best theories in quotes straight from our top scientists, and
learn about an important new scientific understanding.

The Final Theory is the first science book to step entirely outside today’s science and view it from a completely new perspective that unravels all the mysteries, showing precisely where the wrong turns have been made and providing solid answers to the
numerous problems plaguing our science. It has remained atop numerous physics bestseller lists at Amazon.com and other booksellers because it presents the first credible, full-fledged scientific alternative to the current mainstream beliefs that are causing all the mysteries and paradoxes today.

Sample of European English

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as “Euro-English”.

In the first year, “s” will replace the soft “c”. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard “c” will be dropped in favour of “k”. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome “ph” will be replaced with “f”. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent “e” in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing “th” with “z” and “w” with “v”.

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary “o” kan be dropd from vords kontaining “ou” and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.

Happy Tamil New Year, DK’s mischief and DMK’s false announcement of prices in Assembly!

This Tamil New year called SARVAJIT, meaning victory over self and world falls tomorrow on April14th, 2007.

The Panchangam is a list of events happening throughout the year.
Even Lunar and Solar eclipses and where they occur are given in advance!. The scientist is baffled by the exact time given.

Other things include predictions for Rasi and Nakstrams for the year.

Astrology is a science and not a superstition according to the dumb DK. They are unnecessarily poking their fingers into Nadi Jothidam being a fraud. It seems DK is took a dead man’s thumb impression to a Nadi Jothidar. And he had predicted that the man will live for 75 years.

Everything said in Jothisha is true. May be the dead man must have escaped a gandam, overlooked by the astrologer.

Even if that is not true what about DMK Minister declaring commodity prices have not increased and gave exact figures of pulses and spices in the Assembly!

Immediately the Tamil weekly run by “Cho” took a survey in many shops and gave the exact prices, which are almost double the prices quoted by the DMK minister.

Let the DK resolve this issue first and come to Jothidam!

Now back to good things.

The Tamil Calendar is followed by the Tamil speaking state of Tamil Nadu, Kerala in India and by the Tamil population in Malaysia, Singapore & Sri Lanka. There are several festivals in Tamil Nadu based on the Tamil Hindu Calendar.

The Tamil calendar is based on the solar cycle. It has a sixty years cycle and each year has twelve months. The Tamil New Year follows the vernal equinox and generally falls on April 14 of the Gregorian year.

The Tamil calendar is based on the Hindu solar calendar also used in Assam, Bengal, Kerala, Nepal, Manipur, Orissa and the Punjab. It in turn influenced the calendars of Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka and Thailand where the traditional New Year falls around April 14 as well. The Hindu lunar calendar is conversely used in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra where the traditional year begins on the new moon preceding April 14.

The days of the Tamil Calendar relate to the celestial bodies in the solar system. Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn, in that order. The week starts with Sunday

The Tamil Hindu Calendar starts around April 14 of the. It consists of twelve months. The number of days in a month can vary between 29 to 32.

This corresponds to the “Hindu century”. The Vakya or Tirukannitha Panchangam (the traditional Tamil almanac) outlines this sequence.

Happy Tamil New Year Once again.

Let us forget and forgive the mischief mongers like the DK and DMK

Sivaji, the latest news - Release in May

Viewers always want sensational news. Not useful ones.

And it is increasingly becoming difficult for TV news channels or News magazines to provide viewers with dramatic news.

Half the news is about films of recent ones like Sivaji. OK for you – here it is:

siva1

Rajinikanth’s tunes have taken mobile phone users by storm in Tamil Nadu.

While the release of his film Sivaji has now been slated for May against the earlier April plan, ring tones and true tones of all seven songs of the movie have brought some cheer to his fans.

Just within three days of its launch, close to a lakh and fifty thousand downloads have been made and the figure just keeps rising by the hour.

The superstar is invading computers as well in the form of wall papers and screen savers. This venture alone has reportedly fetched the producers a whopping Rs.50 lakh and the promoters say the best is yet to come.

siva2

While there is so much of hype around Rajinikanth’s Sivaji, brand Rajini is turning into a trendsetter in mobile entertainment.

siva3

Near Luz Corner, Mylapore there is a small hoarding of a cool drinks shop. The hoarding is of Coke and Superstar.

Excellent hoarding. So, Coke is official partner.
